First of all I want to thank the excellent photographer Luis Ferreira for helping me taking this picture and others with my Celestron 80ED will he was driving his car. I use the Canon EOS 30D plus the Celestron80ED and the Canon Extender EF 1.4x II from inside the car. The place was Ilha da Morraceira, yesterday... Most important: full frame!!! No crops!!!

Another picture, this time one grey heron (Ardea cinerea). This one was only taken with Canon 30D and the Celestron 80ED. Extender was not used. 600mm x 1.6 = 960mm

First photo on this blog

This will be the first photo on this new blog but it´s not the first that I took with this spotting scope Celestron 80ED Refractor. It´s a good photo and was taken with Canon EOS 30D plus Extender EF 1.4x II da Canon. This mean that we have 600mm (spotting scope) x 1.6x (Canon 30D) x 1.4x (Extender) = 600x1.6x1.4 = 1344mm
